Crackdown in Meerut Exposes Large-Scale Counterfeit Crompton Wire Network
In a decisive strike against counterfeit trade, enforcement authorities in Meerut have uncovered a large-scale operation involved in the distribution of fake тАЬCrompton Wires.тАЭ This action was led by the IPINDS Team, acting on a formal complaint filed on behalf of the brand owner.
FIR No. 0136/2025 was registered at Transport Nagar Police Station, and the raid was spearheaded by SHO Mr. Subodh Kumar Saxena. The operation focused on a suspicious premises located in the Mandi Gate area of Transport Nagar, an emerging hub for grey-market electrical supplies.
Upon inspection, a substantial quantity of counterfeit electrical wire, falsely labeled with Crompton branding, was discovered. These products were deemed to pose a serious risk to public safety due to uncertain manufacturing standards and misleading labeling.
The primary accused, Mr. Rashid, is currently under investigation. Authorities suspect that the seizure may be part of a larger counterfeit distribution network, involved in the illegal production and marketing of substandard electrical materials.
