Illegal Manufacturing Unit Producing Counterfeit Metal Frames Busted in Aurangabad
In a major breakthrough against counterfeit manufacturing, enforcement authorities dismantled a fully operational illegal unit producing fake metal frames used in false ceilings and interior infrastructure. The action was initiated following a formal complaint filed by the IPINDS Team on behalf of the affected brand.
FIR No. 0067/2025 was registered at Jinsi Police Station, prompting an immediate raid on a workshop operating under the name Global Plaster, located near Khas Gate Road in Old Baijipura.
The raid, led by Senior Police Inspector Mr. Dilip Vithoba, uncovered a large stockpile of unbranded and deceptively labeled metal frames, alongside key counterfeiting tools including a screen plate for logo printing and a bending machine used in fabrication. The accused, Ayaaz Ahmed Mushtaq Ahmed, was found running the illicit unit, which possessed the capacity for large-scale production and market distribution.
Authorities suspect that these counterfeit products were being pushed into the broader construction market тАФ potentially entering residential, commercial, and office spaces, posing serious risks due to unverified quality and safety standards.
Legal action has been initiated under Sections 51 and 63 of the Copyright Act, 1957. The investigation is ongoing to uncover the full scale of the operation and determine if more individuals or entities are involved.
This enforcement highlights the pressing threat posed by counterfeit construction products and reinforces the need for stringent oversight, brand protection, and market vigilance to ensure consumer safety and industry reliability.
ЁЯФФ Consumer Advisory:
Customers are strongly encouraged to buy Goods Only from authorized dealers and to verify brand authenticity via official or certified channels. The use of fake or low-quality materials can result in structural failures, safety hazards, and financial losses.
If you encounter suspicious products, report immediately to your local police station or the brandтАЩs customer support helpline.
Stay alert. Buy authentic. Build safe.
