Fake Gypframe Products Seized in Adugodi Construction Supply Raid
In a major breakthrough against brand infringement in the construction sector, enforcement authorities in Bengaluru uncovered a large cache of counterfeit тАЬGypframe Xpert MetalтАЭ products during a targeted market inspection in the Adugodi area. The action was prompted by a formal complaint filed by the IPINDS Team on behalf of Saint Gobain India Private Limited, flagging the unauthorized use of their registered Gypframe brand.
The investigation, officially registered under FIR No. 0068/2025 at Adugodi Police Station, was led by Senior PSI Mr. Thimmarayappa C. Acting on the lead, officials raided the premises of AH Traders, located at 1st Cross Road, Behind Bosch Company, in Chennakeshava Nagar, Ayappa Garden. The operation revealed a significant stockpile of counterfeit construction goods bearing deceptive Gypframe branding.
Mr. Imran, the individual operating the business, was found to be in possession of unauthorized materials intended for sale under the Gypframe name, pointing to deliberate misrepresentation and commercial exploitation of a trusted brand.
Legal proceedings have been launched under Sections 51(1)(b) and 63 of the Copyright Act, 1957, which address the illegal reproduction and sale of copyrighted materials.
This incident highlights the growing concern of counterfeit building supplies infiltrating the market and underscores the urgent need for continued vigilance, enforcement, and industry collaboration to protect consumer safety and brand credibility in the construction ecosystem.
