Major Crackdown on Counterfeit Electrical Goods in Kurnool: Rajasthan Electricals Raided

In a decisive operation targeting the rampant circulation of counterfeit electrical goods, the Kurnool I Town Police, in close collaboration with the IPINDS Team, conducted a high-impact raid on Rajasthan Electricals, located at Pawan Plaza near the Old Bus Stand in Kurnool. The raid, executed under the vigilant supervision of Senior PI Mr. Ramaiah Naidu, exposed a large-scale operation involving the sale of imitation branded electrical wires.
A great number of counterfeit Polycab wires were seized from the premises. The suspect, Lalit Kumar, was apprehended at the scene with a significant volume of fake electrical wire stock, allegedly intended for unsuspecting consumers under the guise of genuine branded products.
All seized items have been confirmed as unauthorized reproductions of the reputed Polycab brand. Legal proceedings have been initiated under FIR No. 0022/2025, invoking Section 63 of the Copyright Act, 1957, and Section 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Act, 2023.
Authorities reaffirmed their zero-tolerance policy toward counterfeit operations, emphasizing that strict legal consequences will be enforced against all individuals or entities involved in such deceptive practices. This operation marks a significant step toward ensuring consumer safety and maintaining the integrity of trusted brands in the electrical goods sector.
