Court-Ordered Crackdown Uncovers Massive Counterfeit Unit in Gandhinagar: Mansi Enterprises Exposed
Gandhinagar:
A trademark and copyright infringement raid was carried out in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, on 28th March 2026, after Bengaluru-based Ashika Incense Inc secured an ex parte ad-interim injunction from the Bombay High Court. The Court, upon being satisfied that a prima facie case of infringement was made out, granted relief alleging infringement of the companyтАЩs registered trademark and copyright.
IP Investigations & Detective Service Pvt. Ltd. (ICVA Group) filed a petition before the Bombay High Court, contending that entities operating under the names Mansi Enterprises, along with other unknown persons, were using deceptively similar packaging and unlawfully exploiting the тАЬSleepwellтАЭ trademark and copyright.
The Bombay High Court appointed an Additional Court Commissioner and an Additional Court Receiver in Mumbai, authorizing them to conduct search and seizure operations with police assistance. Pursuant to the said order, on 28th March 2026, the authorities executed a raid at the premises of Mansi Enterprises, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, resulting in the seizure of significant quantities of counterfeit incense products, packaging materials, labels, and allied goods bearing the mark of Ashika Incense Inc. The seized goods were inventoried, sealed, and taken into custody under the supervision of the Court-appointed officials.
Aatmaram Patade, an advocate of IP Investigations & Detective Service Pvt. Ltd. (ICVA Group), said:
тАЬThese infringing goods were available in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and various other locations in India, as the respondents were actively supplying and distributing the same. Therefore, we filed the suit before the Bombay High Court. We sought an ex parte order to prevent the defendants from intentionally concealing or disposing of the infringing goods prior to the execution of the search.тАЭ
